The sale price refers to the amount of money at which something is offered for sale. It represents the price paid by the buyer when purchasing an item. Here are a few examples:

  1. If an item’s initial sale price is reduced over time, it means that the price has decreased. For instance, if a product was initially priced at £125 and later sold for only £99 after two months, the sale price reflects this reduction1.
  2. When we discount a price, the sale price becomes lower than the original price. For example, a pair of sunglasses were originally priced at £150 but was offered at a 20% discount, the sale price would be lower than the initial amount.

Remember that the sale price is the actual amount paid you pay, and it can vary based on discounts and promotions.

When we say a product is “new,” we are referring to something that has been recently created and never been used.

  1. Definition:

    •
  2. Aligning to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD):

    • The CSRD is set to replace the previously applicable Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD) in October 2022.
    • Its primary goal is to ensure that companies publicly disclose adequate information about the risks, opportunities, and impacts of their activities on people and the environment.
    • The directive extends its scope to apply to more entities, including:
      • EU-listed companies (except for listed micro companies).
      • Large undertakings (meeting specific criteria) regardless of their legal form.
      • Insurance undertakings and credit institutions.
    • The CSRD aligns with the European Green Deal, aiming to transform the EU into a modern, resource-efficient, and competitive economy with no net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050.
    • It is part of the broader Sustainable Finance package, which includes the EU Taxonomy and amending Delegated Acts on fiduciary duties, investment, and insurance advice1.
  3. Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence:

  4. Sustainable Products:

    • The EU emphasizes creating a more resource-efficientclimate-neutral, and pollution-free circular economy.
    • The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation aims to improve EU products’ circularityenergy performance, and other environmental sustainability aspects3.
